With the end of construction approaching soon, we are proud to share our crane hire project on the Ocean Reef and Wanneroo Road bridge interchange. Beginning in April 2019, our team at Wanneroo Crane Hire has worked along with WBHO Infrastructure, ensuring each phase of the project has been executed safely and efficiently. The $2.3 billion plan backed by the Commonwealth and State Governments had been in the making for over 20 years to improve congestion and safety at one of the busiest intersections in Perth’s north.

Along with an exceptional team of construction workers and fleet operators, the project has been witnessed by many on their commute through a safely diverted and managed route. On March 4th this year, we reached our milestone by installing bridge beams for the interchange – 12 beams ranging from 18m to 21m with an impressive 100-tonne Humma crane hire, over 15 hours!
See the build and footage of the crane hire in action below:
In conjunction with improved flow of traffic, reduced collisions, and safer suburb access, the completed construction will include:
– signalised loop ramps to connect Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Road
– new paths and pedestrian crossing points
– a new access road for Cockman House off Woodvale Drive.
– a new U-turn facility on Wanneroo Road (north of Villanova Street) to assist southbound traffic movements
– drainage improvements in and around the interchange
We are looking forward to the project wrap-up anticipated at the end of this year and have been proud to work with local suppliers and services. Check out more of our project photos and videos and stay up-to-date via our Facebook page.
