What ISO Certification Means in Crane Operations

Cranes are more often than not used in high-risk environments. It is important that crane hire companies enforce standards that ensure the safety and quality of both their people and services. One way these standards are enforced is through audits and the award of ISO certification. For Wanneroo Crane Hire, this means our mobile crane hire and standard crane hire systems meet international benchmarks for quality, safety and efficiency.

What is an ISO Certification?

An ISO certification refers to a certificate awarded to a company by a third-party body on behalf of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). The ISO creates standards that broadly include quality and energy management, as well as occupational health and safety and information security.

Why is it Important For a Crane Hire Company to have an ISO Certification?

As mentioned, cranes are mainly used in industries and on projects where there are high risks to both operations and workers. Our crane operators at Wanneroo Crane Hire are punctual, professional and fully qualified and adhere to the ISO certification standards.

There are many benefits for a crane hire company to be awarded an ISO certification:

• Enhances workplace safety: Rather than reactive fixes to mistakes or problems, an ISO certification follows a structured and proactive management system.

• Ensures quality: By following standardised processes, quality will remain consistent across the board.

• Boosting Efficiency: By documenting processes, fewer mistakes occur, and less time is wasted. This ultimately leads to better and more streamlined processes.

What is ISO 9001

Wanneroo Crane Hire holds two ISO certifications, including ISO 9001. ISO 9001 is a Quality Management system, or QMS. Helping us to deliver consistent services and improve overall efficiency.

Main focus: Meeting customers’ needs consistently and maintaining process consistency.

Results: Satisfied clients, with fewer mistakes made thanks to smooth internal processes.

What is ISO 45001

The other ISO certification Wanneroo Crane Hire holds is ISO 45001, an Occupational Health and Safety Management System. This helps us manage safety risks associated with crane use.

Main focus: Preventing crane operators and other workers from related illnesses, accidents and injuries.

Results: This certification means a safer workplace with protected employees through adherence to the law.
